Nyc: Glad I’m Not There …
You must check out this photo collection from Bill Sullivan, it’s brilliant.
Unbeknownst to the subjects, Sullivan documents the time and space of one of the most regular and anonymous activities in NYC: walking through a subway turnstile.
As I examined these images closely, a twinge of anxiety came over me.
I then realized how […]

Drink The Kool-aid!
At Christian Perry’s SF Beta event last, by golly, there was plenty of it to go around!
There must have been 150 attendees enjoying themselves last night, many of whom dished out $20 to rub elbows with the ‘Net-set. The event, replete with sponsors, was reminscent of a Yahoo party […]

Under The Knife At Slate
I’ve succumbed back into the RSS fray (thanks William!) and for better or for worse, find myself scrolling through more articles than ever before. One of my feeds is from Slate. And I’m noticing a trend.
It looks as though there is a very eager editor over there who […]

It’s Obvious
I’ve always admired Evan Williams. He’s a smart dude with little pretense. I’d venture to say that his work and his vibe inspired us, to a certain degree, at Meetup.

Obvious was born out of twin […]

Approach
The term “Zillow approach” came up in a conversation today.
Not sure what’s more fascinating — how new companies are finding guidance from their peers or how Zillow has defined a category and a model, where any “approach” can be a natural evolution of progress, and, thus, enviable.
What’s your approach?

Hunter S. Thompson Interviews Keith Richards
Here’s a classic — HST interviewing Keith Richards.
When you can understand what they’re sayin’, it’s life changing.

Big In Japan : Steve Jobs … And Me!
I was lucky to attend MacWorld in 2005 when Steve announced the Mini and the Shuffle.
I snapped this picture of Steve and added it to Flickr with a Creative Commons license.
I didn’t realize other people would actually use it! Turns out this shot is Big in Japan, baby!
Also — just noticed how […]

Nyt: “spitzer Office Finds E-mail Can Be Revealing”
So yesterday, an email from NY Governer Eliot Spitzer’s office landed in my inbox.
It was from his communications department in response to an application I submitted for a possible Public Affairs job for the State of New York.
Low and behold, whomever sent that email to me, also sent it to 227 others […]
